Overview and Approach

ZFONC partners with primary and secondary schools across Uganda to build a generation that understands, values, and actively protects the natural environment. Through environmental clubs, climate-focused curricula, and hands-on tree-planting partnerships, we turn classrooms into launchpads for lifelong conservation leadership.

We believe environmental stewardship is best learned early and reinforced through action. Rather than one-off awareness talks, we embed conservation into school life — clubs that meet regularly, curriculum support that ties classroom learning to local ecosystems, and tree-planting activities that pupils help monitor and care for over time.
